The Control.
First please think about your living space. Think about your car, think about the places you normally go on a day to day basis. The reason I ask you to think about this is because you need to find a place where you never eat.
Do you know where that place is? It could be your bedroom, it could be outside, it could be when you are sitting at your computer sending e-mails or whatever. It could be anywhere. Please find this place. When you locate it, it is your quiet, personal space. Where is it? Do you love it? Can you find personal spaces in each of your daily situations?
Go to your personal space when you have finished your meals. This will take your mind and your mindset away from food. Focus on something away from food that means a lot to you.
When you are cooking or are finding it hard to stop munching why not chew chewing gum? Or clean your teeth as the minty flavour will discourage snacking. When you have your three meals a day think Vegetables, Fruit, Protein ....the body builders, then add some carbohydrate if you need to.
Now please find your personal favourite 'thing to do' away from food. This could be e-mailing, magazine reading, book reading, book writing, poetry, holiday choosing, walking, running, yoga, exercising, art, painting, DIY, gardening. You need to find this 'thing to do' so that you can feel positive about your use of time. YOUR use of YOUR life.
Food no longer has to run you. You are now in control of your food intake.
